Amish J. Dave is currently a first-year medical student at the University Of Chicago Pritzker School Of Medicine. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in April in 2006 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Biological Sciences and a B.A. in European History. Amish joined the Rubin lab in the spring of 2007 and is interested in the use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) to visualize inflammation in the GI tract, medical ethics and the doctor-patient relationship, the risks of colorectal cancer, and the treatment of patients with IBD and cancer. As a Humanity in Action fellow, Amish is dedicated to issues of human rights. Additionally, he currently serves on the Pritzker chapter boards of the AMA, AMSA, and APAMSA and is Pritzker liaison to the Chicago Medical Society.
